After working in architecture for over 20 years, Joop Petit established Phidias Community Innovation in 2012. ‘Phidias is not your average architectural firm: Its services are designed for all organizations and parties in the chain: from project developer to end user.’ Phidias Community Cooking was brought to life in 2014. It organizes design competitions related to property, town and country planning. As innovator, Joop is involved in a number of businesses such as De WERKplaats, Holikiday, Tempy and Watersley Sports & Talentpark.
When judging the Redevel(o)p submissions, which aspects in particular will you be paying attention to?
My focus will be on the integration of the submissions: the cohesion between spatiality and usage on different scale-levels, from location to building. The integral quality for both residents and users weighs heavily.
