As a Unit Manager Jocko is overall responsible for the quality of care and for approximately 100 employees who take care for mentally disabled people.
Jocko has over two decades of experience in the healthcare sector. After studies in Educational Science, Healthcare Management & Consulting and Social Network Strategies, Jocko started working for Stichting Dichterbij in 2010. Since, he has held functions in the direct care of clients, as supervisor, coordinating supervisor and as project manager.
When judging the Redevel(o)p submissions, which aspects in particular will you be paying attention to?
‘For me, it is important that the new concept provides new opportunities for care to clients. In addition, the new concept must be supportive, flexible in space and use and it must enable employees to offer qualitative and meaningful daycare. The freedom of clients must be optimized and the new concept should invite local residents to make use of it, promote social connectivity and empower gathering and interaction.’
